Here at BigHire we really look forward to the seasons changing. Each new season brings with it changes or they are an opportunity for us to make changes. As a business, the season change signals a time for us to pause and take a look at our strategy. Some of the questions we explore include:
What were the goals set out for the year?
How much progress have we made?
What's are the three things we're doing to achieve those goals? Are they working?
What are 3 things we need to change or adjust in order to get on track?
What have we learned from our clients recently?
What are the trends in the market?
Are there any opportunities we're missing?
The list of questions goes on. This exercise does not have to be elaborate, but it's important. You see, in the day-to-day sometimes we lose ourselves, or our compass gets buried with all of the daily "must-dos" we have to address. In order to make progress, we've made it a habit to explore these questions every three months. By carrying out this exercise we are ensuring that we stay current and are giving ourselves permission to look at the big picture. What are your traditions when the season changes? Do you revisit your goals? Do you find those goals are still relevant? Leave a note in the comments, we'd love to know.
